The fermentation process gives the tea a slightly effervescent, tart flavor. Kombucha is believed to have health benefits such as boosting the immune system, aiding digestion, and detoxifying the body. Making your own kombucha allows you to control the sweetness/ sugar, flavorings and probiotic content, unlike many store-bought kombuchas.
