Also known as weathering steel, Corten is designed to rust naturally without flaking away like mild steel. As it ages, it forms a protective layer, adding character and durability.
How to Speed Up the Rusting Process:
Place your artwork outside and spray with white vinegar to accelerate the patina. Keep it in an area that can handle runoff during curing. After around 2 weeks, wash it down – once it no longer leaves rust on your hands, the curing is complete and your artwork is ready to hang.
