About Corten Steel

Corten steel, also known as weathering steel, is specially engineered to rust in a controlled, protective way. Unlike mild steel, it won’t flake or degrade; instead, it forms a stable, sealed patina that enhances the artwork’s natural character.

Aging Process:

• Your artwork will begin to rust gradually over time

• To speed up the curing process, place it outdoors and spray with white vinegar

• During curing, the surface may bleed—keep it in an area where runoff is safe

• After approx. 2 weeks, wash thoroughly

• If no rust transfers to your hands, the piece is cured and ready to hang

Installation Options

Mounting is easy, and multiple options are suitable depending on your wall surface:

• Nail or hook

• Screw-in bracket

• Magnets

• Standard screws

• Removable Velcro strips (great for rental homes)
