Garden Fork – Forksta ™ | Made in NZ

If you want to save time in the garden and improve your soil, then you will fall in love with the design of our Crafty Forksta™ engineered, tried and tested since early 2016.

These forks are made from high strength steel and are one piece, as well as being electroplated and powder coated for durability. They are strong and pierce the soil as you pull back on the T-bar handle, which is designed to give great control and use your body weight evenly. They are a great all round fork, think broadfork meets garden fork and they penetrate and loosen the soil to get air down deep. The foot bar is wide for a comfortable platform for both feet and the curved tine shape gives strength and helps with the rowing motion of the fork.

The Forksta™ aerates soil, creates better drainage, supports soil ecology and avoids bringing weed seeds to the surface.

The ergonomic design of the Forkstahelps to:

– Use your body weight
– Use both sides of your body evenly
– Keep your back straight

We have three designs to choose from:

Forksta™  350mm wide and x5 300mm tines. Weight is 3.7kg –Great for everyday use for all the jobs in the garden.

Wide Forksta  630mm wide and x5 350mm tines. Weight is 4.2kg – The Wide Forkstais designed for garden beds that have been double dug initially and used as a fork to finish the bed prep off.  This fork is a great time saver as it is wide enough for one pass for a 900mm wide bed, while you walk down  the aisle. A great tool for aeration between plantings.

Prepping Forksta 400mm wide and x7 300mm tines. Weight is 4.3kg – This Forkstais great for beds that have been worked a lot, and works well as a prepping fork just before planting. Endorsed by both Jodi Roebuck from Roebuck Farm and Curtis Stone from Urban Farmer in Canada. “The best soil working tool I have ever used,” Curtis Stone, Urban Farmer.

We personally double dig our beds initially to give them the best start then use the broadfork/Forksta on the bed forever more. If you do follow a no-dig method and have sheet mulched your beds to start them – the broadfork/Forksta is still a great way to get aeration in there once the beds are established – and we know that air makes up good soil structure.
